Taking advantage of her visit to France, LV was invited to give a talk at Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music to present the SMART project and get to know a bit about the reseach performed there, specifically at the Sciences et Technologie de la Musique et du Son (STMS).
Hosted and conducted by Dr. Emmanuel Ponsot, STMS seminar was a perfect context to present SMART, and discuss both the challenges this project presents during its implementation, and its preliminary but very promising results.
The crowd at STMS / IRCAM who attended the seminar had a mixed background of music technology, sound perception and design, music psychology and even some music composers who were in residence at the Institute. This kept the discussion and feedback very interesting and stimulating, with attendees sharing feedback that was new and refreshing for our team.
