On June 15th, Dr. Lucía Vaquero talked about the challenges of conducting a neuroscientific experiment on the topic of social media and smart digi-tal devices and their effects on our brain and behavior, using the SMART project as an example. This was an invited presentation framed within the V Lecture Series of the initiative Corpus Curiosum. Corpus Curiosum is an online lecture series organized by and for early stage researchers, and fo-cused on stimulating critical thinking and networking around different neuroscience-related topics.
The talk was received very positively. and Dr. Vaquero received praised for her capacity to summarize the complex and diverse array of issues that can be encountered when conducting research on the topic of social media from a neuroscientific point of view. The full talk can be watched here.
Thank you so much, Corpus Curiosum (Dr. Ines Abalo, especially) for inviting LV, giving us the opportunity to start talking about SMART and the challenges of what we believe is an ambitious but relevant project!
